My husband and I are pretty particular about what our boys watch and play with. We have some family members who know about these boundaries and despite our polite requests still send these types of gifts. When it's a token of love for our child, should we take it away from our child when it directly conflicts with what we teach, or should we attempt to explain why we don't do it..and let them play with the toy? We don't want to breed self-righteousness in our kids..but we also be consistent in how we run our home.

Mine does, he just flicks from channel to channel and it drives me nuts, that's why I'm on Yahoo Answers. I have to watch what he wants but he never-ever watches what I want to watch. Am I alone in this?

This is my second pregnancy and each time he has said he doesn't like the bump, he says its weird and he doesn't like touching it.

I have several bags of maternity clothes stored in the garage. The garage has recently been invaded with field mice coming in from the cold.

I'm afraid to open the bags of clothing, for fear that mice have left droppings -- or worse -- nested in there. Any advice on how to go about tackling this job? Is it even safe for me to be doing this, as I am pregnant?

P.S. If I do find droppings, what is the best and most effective way to wash the clothes? Recommend a heavy duty detergent, if you know of any, thanks.
