Mine does, he just flicks from channel to channel and it drives me nuts, that's why I'm on Yahoo Answers. I have to watch what he wants but he never-ever watches what I want to watch. Am I alone in this?

try a sex ban. or threaten to stop washing his underwear. have you ever seen a guy try to figure out the washing machine?
or wait till he goes to the lav, and remove the batteries from the remote.

No you are not alone. The fact that we have 4 TVs in the house makes no difference! Why? because he wants my company while he watches TV. If I get up to go upstairs he will quickly switch back to the channel I want to watch and say 'no wait, here, the commercial is off.' (It was off 5 minutes ago.) if I get fed up and move to another room anyway, he will follow 5 minutes later and as soon as a commercial comes on or the show I am watching goes off, he flips to that abominable westerns channel or sports channel. Even if he has to get up to do it!

Nope....I'm the one who hogs the remote! I only give it up if there's nothing on I want to watch. But we do have the luxury of Sky and spare tv's in the bedrooms so he's lucky if what he wants to watch is on terrestrial tv....he just goes into the bedroom and watches leaving me in the living room with what I'm watching! Actually, the biggest hog is our 4yr old son whilst getting ready for school in the morning and just before he goes to bed at night. That's a sacrifice I make!

My spouse hog's the covers, I hardly watch television, I sleep on the fringe of the mattress and My spouse in basic terms approximately continuously has the distant. I do hog the fat loose, sugar loose Ice Cream except she can provide a extra effective dessert.

He tries to hog the remote, but I actually hog it more than he does!!!
As far as watching what you want, you should maybe look into getting a tv in a separate room.

Can I just say that I do not hog the remote control my wife does the channel surfing and I just sat through 3 hours of Rosemary and Thyme.

Oh yes, he is the king of the remote, but I am the queen of the computer. If I want to watch something, I go lay down in the bedroom which means he has to watch the kids! Haha

No you are not alone. It happens to me all the time when I visit my fiance'. He changes during every commercial, and when he turns back to a show that we were both watching, we've missed the intro because he was busy flipping the channels. We don't have the same taste in TV which is why I have purchased a 46' screen just for myself!

Don't worry.I know how you feel. Whenever i want the remote, my partner always reminds me that he owns the TV. He doesn't like sharing. Best thing to do is don't clean up after him and when he starts moaning, just say well you wont let me watch TV. My flat is much cleaner now

Take control girlfiend, scuse the pun!! I grew up with my dad always hogging the remote, it was like his lil trophy, he would even hide it from us. Thats why i decided to make a change and a difference , more jeremy kyle, more eastenders and MTV i am the remote hogger now...go go girl power ><

no, you are not alone. I have the same problem. Just get another TV and your own remote and watch what you want. He will get sick of this or he won't notice. Either way, at least you get to watch what you want.
