There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

I have the same problem, my eyebags are really big, but I don't exactly know why, so I can't really help them. Some people have bags under their eyes because the skin under their eyes is really thin. I have bigger bags when I don't sleep enough, you should get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. I try to go to bed at 9. You also have to eat healthy and take daily vitamins. You can use cucumbers (they really acutally work!) or warm tea bags or put vaseline under your eyes before you go to bed. There are also some creams that work, but I don't use them. To hide the bags even more, you could put on some eyeliner and dark makeup around your eyes, but don't make it too dark. Not all of these will work for you, but try them all eventually and continue using the ones that work for you. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Puffiness or skin discoloration under the eyes affects just about everybody at some time or another. For some of us, however, these “bags” or “dark circles” are a near-constant bother. While these conditions are occasionally symptomatic of other illnesses, the usual cause is allergies, tiredness, or, unfortunately, heredity. No matter what the cause, you can still reduce the appearance of puffiness or dark circles, and in some cases, you may be able to get rid of them altogether.
follow the link below for steps on making them go away.

Put cold cucumber slice or potato slice on your eyes then try to relax for half an hour. Try to get enough sleep and don't watch tv too much (easier said than done). Finally there's Preparation H. Just be sure to avoid the eye area because the cream really is for hemorrhoids. To lessen the swelling of the anal region.

ok here's a remedy... you can slice a potao normal potato and then put it in the freezer until it gets really cold...then get 2 slices and put them around your eyes at first it will hurt because of how cold it is but you'll get use to it....then after you take them off your eyes (the bags) will llppk red because of the coldness..but it will go away..and if you do that everyday you'll se great results ...even the first time you do it if you do it long enough......
