When a photon is traveling through space, is it really physically oscillating (as in a physical translation or deviation from its velocity vector), or does it just have wavelike properties (such as its sinusoidal electric and magnetic fields)?

If God is omnipresent does he think everyone will believe in him without any evidence? It is too difficult for a person who thinks analytically, logically and skeptically to believe in something without any evidence. Then why does God sent non-believers to hell? If he wanted everyone to believe in him without any evidence why should he have given man power to think, logically, analyticaly and skeptically?

Science has shown no need for a God to exist. All living organisms are evidences for evolution and abiogenesis and universe is the evidence of Big bang and not a creater.

I am an agnostic and am interested reason for religious inclination. My girlfriend is a practicing Catholic, I asked her a question the other day, it was "What would you do if you were told by the pope that in order to be accepted into heaven you had to disown your family?" I was horrified when she basically said "I would disown them".
The reality is that she is not the only religious person in the world who feels that that their faith should be above all things. How can a rational person put that much faith in a religion that has involved hundreds of years of human intervention & possible manipulation?
Further to this confusion, I am perplexed as to how religious people can claim their faith is correct, when they have no knowledge of any religion bar their own?
What I would like is answers from people of different faiths on the limits they place on their faith (eg: would you kill loved ones if you thought god wanted it?). Also how you can logically be dedicated to one religion?

I wouldn't call myself smart, but I have been told that I am over and over. I am wondering if it girls like it when the guy is smarter than them? Is there a point at which smart becomes too smart? I do not mean someone that is braging about being smart, or someone that cannot cary on a conversation. I am talking about someone you can tell is smarter than you. Is that a turn off?

My kitten's ears have been getting thinner and thinner hair on them and now they are practically bald. You can see the leathery skin and there are only a few sparse pieces of hair. She does have a case of ringworm below her eye, but i am not sure if the ringworm is making her ear look bald too. It isnt scaly like the one below her eye. Is the "bald ear" thing a kitten thing, genetic, or does it have to do with a medical issue? Is the hair on her ears likely to grow back to normal when she is an adult? Ever since we got her, her ears have have been pretty thin but now they are getting thinner.... Does anybody else have the same problem?
