If your child really wants milk in their night time sippy try diluting it with water. A little more each day until it's just water. Milk isn't good as a night time drink because it damages their teeth, but water is fine. I did this with my daughter and the transition from milk to water was so gradual that she didn't even notice. Hope this helps!

No, give him water if you give him anything.
Milk contains sugars, these sugars deposit on the teeth and rot the teeth overnight. Maybe some parents wouldn't mind their kids teeth to rot out of their mouths but any peditrician will tell you not to give a child milk at bedtime or anytime between bedtime and breakfast. If he needs a drink in the middle of the night water should be the only thing he gets.

NO! He's too old to be getting up in the middle of the night for milk. Give him water no matter the fit he pitches and in a few nights I guarantee you that he'll start sleeping through the night because he knows he'll only get water.

Why wouldn't it be? I don't understand why you would even ask this question. Are you asking if it's okay to give him milk in the middle of the night, or if it's okay for him to drink it in a sippy cup? Both seem okay to me.

I think u should give him milk before bed but be sure to brush his teeth! If he still awakes at night maybe try give him less and less milk each night, so eventually he doesnt wake up at night, it sounds like a routine he's made for himself!
My 18month old daughter used to do the same thing, its hard to not give in at 2am! And it could be a hard habit to break them from! Took me about a week to break her from it! Maybe cut his nap i little bit early too so he wll be more tired at night. He may wake up earlier but that shall be good if you both are sleeping through the night! Hope that helps! Good luck!

I have my 2 year-old brush his teeth first thing in the AM, so he does have milk at night. He was a preemie and needs the extra calories. His teeth are fine.

Neurologically she isn't waiting to be dry at night. you will possibly try getting her as much as apply the potty in the previous you bypass to mattress yet why combat mom nature. via the time she is 3 she would be in a position to maximum possibly be dry at night, it relatively is unlike she is waking up and peeing on purpose. Technically she is basically properly conditioned to apply the potty and he or she does it simply by fact she needs to delight you and he or she gets a kick out of doing it. very few 22 month olds are easily neurologically stepped forward adequate to easily understand whilst they might desire to bypass and seek for out a rest room to apply in the event that they choose for one.

I don't see why not. My son is now 14 and I did him every night. I brushed his teeth twice a day and taught him to floss. He drank water too. His teeth are near perfect in strength and color. He just needs braces.
