When my ex husband and I moved to the midwest 16 years ago we found it very odd, nice and amusing that when people would pass you going the opposite direction on a small country road they would give a small wave. 99.9% of the time it was a male. We had a blast one day, we made it a point to wave at every passing car to see who would wave back.....we got a good laugh anyways.

When going 60 mile an hour down a road, do these guys really expect you to wave back? Offer them a beer? Go out on a date with them?
Its a friendly gesture no doubt, but who started this anyway...some good ole boy club that's motto was 'Must wave at passing cars'?

What are your thoughts on this?

This is in singles and dating, for all you who might be wondering....because I felt like it.....

i havnt changed any perfume, or soap, soap powder, or make up, and ive had measles, chickenpox, and german measles. spots are getting bigger, bit irritating but mainly burning. someone said it could be shingles, but i thought it went mainly on body.

I was taken abroad to give birth, then baby was taken away from me soon as it was born. im trying to trace it. i need some illegal advive. members of family took baby away. family doesnt wana tell me at all. ive tried british embassy in that country but they just said they cant do anything because my family says im lieing. Can tax preparers get away with this?


I recently had someone do my taxes for me and he charged 160$ for filling out 2 additional forms other than the original 1040. The forms were simplistic and i notified him on which ones to fill out as well (im sure he already knew). I did it with H and R block and they charged me 50$ for the same thing last year. Am i able to call IRS and tell them not to accept paperwork from this individual. The forms i recieved back from him shows he added a credit of 235 twice. He told me over the phone it was corrected, yet the 1040 he sent me still shows it up there. The double tax credit was an additional 197$ that the IRS might pay me extra due to his negligence. I called the IRS to see if the correct amount was filed but the automated service says i have to check back in 3 weeks (by this time the money would be deposited into my acct.) He might be getting $300+ from my tax refund when it should only be 50. what actions can i take against this preparer to stop him from taking 33% of my return? can i stop the claim? dispute how much he is charging me? thanks for looking and helping

i was up all night throwing up. but here's the thing- i didn't feel nausiated. food and stomach acid just kept coming up. I feel like there is this huge wooden block lodged in my esophagus, there is all this pressure and sharp pains. eating and drinking makes the pain and pressure worse. is it gas? is it some kind of acid reflux? this happened to me last spring but i didn't puke. oh, and i can breathe fine. that isn't the problem. and i tried taking mylanta and i puked it up. hot tea doesn't help, or water. i don't feel achey or have head pains. no high temperature.
any doctors/nurses/emt's/med students out there?
