Why is it that homophobic people keep answwering questions in the gay, lesbian, bisexual section and giving cruel answers?
I mean, if they feel so sick at the thought why bother even looking and the question?

I dated my guy from the age of 16 through 19, then we broke up for about four years, I had another 3 yr relationship, had a daughter, and her dad is no longer around except for the occasional phonecall. I was single for the first year and a half of my daughter's life, and by chance started talking to my ex from highschool again. He changed a lot and we ended up dating again. It has been six months now and he says that he will never do anything to loose me again. Back in the day he really hurt my parents, via hurting me, and my dad holds gruges. My guy knows that my family is everything to me and that he needs to make amends with my dad but hasn't taken the step and my dad thinks worse and worse of him everyday he doesn't do anything.
Lately I have been having second thoughts about the relationship. I say I love you, but I don't feel it. I feel that I need someone that has no discrepencies with my family. What should I do?

My girlfriend and I have been watching the Anime Fullmetal Alchemist, and we both noticed that the younger brother (Al) always refers to his older brother (Ed) as "brother". On the other hand, Ed always refers to his younger brother as "Al".

Is it a common trend in Japan or eastern asia to refer to older family members by title (i.e. brother, uncle, mother, sister, etc) and to refer to younger relatives by name? I think I've seen other shows/movies where characters do this, but I was just wanting some confirmation.

I just recently moved into a shared apartment a week & 1/2 ago, & I was depressed & sick with a bad cold & bronchitis, & I couldn't enter or leave my bedroom without her barging in it, ininvited, telling me I need to clean it, & I have too much clutter. She takes it upon herself to start cleaning it, & I organize my room the way it makes ME happy, not others. Then, she demands an answer for why my room is not cleaned, & I tell her that it's because I've been very depressed & ill. She says, "Don't give me that excuse! When I'm depressed or sick that makes me clean up more." Well, that's her. I don't owe her an answer. She also put me under the impression that she was going to report me if my room wasn't clean. It's clean now. We each have our own room with our own lease. When I'm sick or depressed, I feel immoble & can't do much. By her invading my privacy, she was breaking the lease rules. The landlord understands if I'm too depressed to clean up b/c these are apts. for mentally ill.
