1mg(milligram) = 1000mcg(microgram)

therefore 300mcg = 0.3mg

3000mcg would equal 3mg

I have to agree though on the face of it, mcg can be read as millicentigrams and thus 300 mcg should be equal to 3 mg. However, some where some one decided that the greek symbol for micro (mu) is too cumbersome and adopted this confusing mcg as a microgram.

300 mcg is 300 micrograms or 0.30 milligrams. 3 mg is 3 milligrams, and is 10 times more than the other one.
