Perhaps what you need more is to look beyond the current political party pretending to be two separate parties. Take a look at the third parties and their views. You will have to look beyond some of the extreme members (such as Howard Dean). I suggest you check out Ron Paul as a potential president.

Unfortunately the general public believes lies, are gullible and votes strictly along party lines, doesn't analyze how their fine sounding programs will actually affect their lives.

Then there is the other category that votes on who can make them money, give them jobs, influence and access to them for lobbying their for things that only benefit them.

They trade off votes: you vote for my project and I will vote for yours. Once they are in office they immediately forget the people they represent. If they have an independent thought they are 'whipped' into voting against their conscience and be a faithful 'party member'.

I'm ready for an equivalent of the Boston Tea Party but we have become too divided and complacent. Action has been replaced with apathy.

I too am very disappointed.
