In alot of hip-hop/rap songs I hear girls saying "I can be your shortie" and then the guys will say you can be my shortie. I'm not sure if I'm spelling that right but thats how it sounds, I'm curious as to what it means. Thanks for your help!

My step son is 4 and he is raised by his mother. We get him every other weekend if he is not "sick." Here lately my husband has been working nights and I have to pick his son up. Well when I go to pick him up his mother says I can't let you have him. This past time she said he was crying and if his dad cant be here than you will have to call your mother-in-law. Well when I went in there he was just fine. He does get somewhat upset but its like ne kid when they go to school per say they dont want to go but once their there they are fine. Well here this weekend there has been a few times he is like I want my mommy. I honestlythink someone is putting thoughts in his head about me. Whether it is his grandma or mom or what. He also when we go to take him back he throws a fit saying he doesnt want to go home. If ne one can help me I have soo many questions. Not sure what to do... Thanks

I'm currently losing weight, but I would like to know what would be a realistic goal that is healthy and looks good also. I'm only 14 years old, by the way.

if you buy whole life they tell you you can borrow "your money" but you have to pay back with interest because if you don't if you die the company will deduct the money you borrow from the death benefit sya you have 100,000 insurance and you take 20 and don't pay it back you die your family only gets 80,000. and if you dont take any money and you have 100,000 benefit and 20,000 cash value and you die your family gets 100,000 and the company keeps your cash value.now universal life is a little confusing it works like this example you buy 100,000 for 45 dls a month with part of this they buy you a annualy renewal term ins.the rest goes to a savings account what happens every year it cost them more to keep this term ins. on you aroun 48 years of age what you pay in premiums it is not enough to cover this term ins. so what they do they start using the money from your savings to keep your premium the same but around age 67 your cash value is gonesoyouneedtopaymoretokeepyourinsurance

I feel like I'm falling apart and shrivelling into a prune! It has been 1 1/2 months since my quit and I very quickly started getting really strange symptoms which are just getting worse.

These include

1) peeling, dry skin all over my body, especially on my face which has broken out in a red rash. My skin burns all over it is so dry.

2) a strange sharp and pulsing pain in my lower abdomen, near my ovary (but may not be) which comes and goes. It feels different than bowel/gas pain

3) constipation, with (sorry for too much info) sticky/smelly stool

4) painful heart palpitations

5) mood swings/building anxiety (although these could easily be related to the quit itself)

6) chronic and painful headaches

7) feeling dehydrated all of the time even though I am not

I can't think of any recent changes that would cause this except for the quitting.

Could quitting have triggered a dormant illness? If so, what could it be?

I mean, we are all human beings after all. And to Christians especially who post attacking questions to aethists and the like, Christ taught us to turn the other cheek, not to return railing for railing! Granted, most of you probably don't do it. But too many do! Shouldn't we strive to live through example and not words alone? I realize that it is hard to not attack back when being attacked (and yes, I see it a lot more from aethists attacking Christians than the other way, but there's way too much from Christians attacking aethists and even other Christians), and I have no problem defending our points. But when we create pointed and mean questions which are meant to tear down others' beliefs instead of to build people up, that is not right! Honestly, do you think being mean to others will lead them the right way? I can see reproving, but lets remember they are our brothers and sisters. We should be leading examples of the type of lives that can be lived, not drive them away.

I had to take my daughter to a Family Practice Clinic and while there I needed to use the restroom. It was one of those doors that had a nice 1 inch crack in the bottom and you can hear everything that goes on in there. I was on my period and had needed to change my tampon with no concerns of my three year old being there with me. Very loudly she asks "Mommy, why you sticking that in your butt?" I told her "It's something that happens to girls when they get older.", as quietly as possible. Naturally you could here the snickers outside the door. It was awful. I opened the door and everyone was starring at me. We retook our seats. To make things worse she looks at the older woman next to us and says, "My mommmys getting old so she put a stick in her butt." The waiting room was roaring. I was bright red but find humor in it now. We have not been back to that Dr. however. Just incase.

I finally got thie nerve to ask this guy I like to 'hang out". What actually happened was.. i text messaged him asking him that we should hang out soon and he text messaged me back ten minutes later... saying that he would like too, although it have to be in a couple of weeks, because that;s the next time he gets paid because he's broke as a joke" quote on quote.. so we conversated furthur and he revealed to me that he tends to be a bit shy when it comes to women because he's afraid or rejection.. and he has been rejected in the past.. I then asked him do he feel confident enough to try to get an attractive woman..and he said yes but usually he's not in pursuit .. or rather it depends on what mood he's in...How would you feel about this guy after this converation...I'm just not sure..I know that everytime is see him he smiles, and he's flirted with me and the past...but now I just don't know about him
