It sounds silly, but try Myspace and MIXI (that's the biggest social networking site in japan)

You need an invitation from a friend to join MIXI and most people on it don't speak English, so find a Japanese person who does MIXI. I know a few people who got info on missing person on those sites, but if you have no clue of what area in japan, it will be very hard.

Good luck!

If you know what prefecture Raynald is in, you can contact the foreign register office in that prefecture, and they can get a message to him.

If you don't know what prefecture he is in, contact the embassy of the country who's passport he is holding. They should be able to trace him if he registered with them.

If he doesn't want to be found, well, there is nothing you can do from outside the country.

Good luck.

I don't think anyone here on Yahoo Answers can find your friend for you, especially when you only have a name. Also, searching for children is extremely difficult in any country. If you don't know who the names of the mother and/or father, it will be even more difficult. Sorry.
