I mean, we are all human beings after all. And to Christians especially who post attacking questions to aethists and the like, Christ taught us to turn the other cheek, not to return railing for railing! Granted, most of you probably don't do it. But too many do! Shouldn't we strive to live through example and not words alone? I realize that it is hard to not attack back when being attacked (and yes, I see it a lot more from aethists attacking Christians than the other way, but there's way too much from Christians attacking aethists and even other Christians), and I have no problem defending our points. But when we create pointed and mean questions which are meant to tear down others' beliefs instead of to build people up, that is not right! Honestly, do you think being mean to others will lead them the right way? I can see reproving, but lets remember they are our brothers and sisters. We should be leading examples of the type of lives that can be lived, not drive them away.

As long as society exists in its present condition, strife between religions, between people of the same religions, and between individuals, shall be a permanant feature of our lifes.

This is a very good point. I sometimes feel that Christians are almost too defensive to the point that you wonder who they are trying to convince, you or themselves.

As a vegan I often experience opportunities to try to preach to people about cruelty to animals, but I need to pick my moments well as otherwise you make people even more determined to stick to their ways. I think Christians should be the same.

Since we are just people speaking through the internet, we think it's right to speak the way we want to on here.

Why assume that the way people answer online is the way they act in real life? It isn't, for the most part.

I will attack and fight the fundamentalists trying to push their beliefs in the public arena with EVERYTHING I have. I will attack and fight discrimination and hatred couched in Christianity with everything I have. I will fight lies, like what the right wing is now trying to do to Hillary and Obama, with everything I have. I will fight beliefs that are dangerous to society....like that of radical Islam....with everything I have. Don't tell me to get along with people who are absolutely my enemies. Their beliefs and actions are anathema to me.

I agree with you. There's too much judgment and hate going around. Life's too short for this much negativity.

Most are fairly decent here, but there are jerks in every group. I try to ignore them.
