It seems that I never do anything right with my mother. If my brother cleans the kitchen she'll say "Good job." If I clean it she'll say "Why didn't you clean the dining room too?" If something is missing, I am the first one she accuses; and no, I am not a kleptomaniac and I do not have a history of stealing. If a room is messy, I am blamed for it. If my father is stressed, I am blamed for him being upset. If my brothers are getting bad grades, she blames me for not taking the time to help them, and mind you, I have an older sister too. If I get bad grades, she blames me for not spending enough time studying. My brother and I are both chubby, but she always makes fat jokes at me, not him. I have always been the "black sheep" in the family, I admit, but I am not a bad kid. What's a girl to do?

In my opinion, it's a vapid, feel-good response to a non-existent "problem". The people who favor these types of ideas will tell you, "Young African-Americans need historical role-models, people who look like them to get them interested in their heritage".

While I agree that one's heritage is something to be treasured and celebrated, the primary heritage to be honored should be "American", not "African-American". Instead of spending valuable time teaching kids that the inventor of the traffic signal was a black man (wonderful, but still more like trivia than history), we'd be better served if kids learned about the Intolerable Acts, the Missouri Compromise, the buildup to the Civil War, etc...

What started as a verble argument,turned into a brawl. A carload of 7 boys came to my daughters house(where my grandson and girlfriend were).My daughter told her son to stay inside and she would stop this argument. When she went out(with grandsons girlfriend) she found these boys in her yard and told them to leave. One of the boys hit my daughter and she sprayed him with mace. Another boy, or possibley the same person, also kicked the girlfriend in the stomach. At this time my grandson came out of the house and began to hit the attackers of his mother and girfriend. My daughter called the cops for help. After telling the officers what had happened and questioning the other gang(who had ran), they gave my daughter a disturbing the peace along with my gransons girfriend. My grandson was given a felony assault and battery charge. I believe the other 7 kids also got a disturbing the peace. Something doesn't sound right. The victims have been arrested and the assaulters are free

Photoshop won't install on my computer...so until I get a bigger harddrive installed I'm stuck with using the free program called The Gimp.
I'm trying to use the path tool to seperate a person from the background and place the person on another background. I have the path drawn but I can't get the image to show up in the path....like it's just the path outline.
IN photoshop you just go to save path and select path....this one it's just to confusing. "Path to selection" didn't do anything "Add to selection"...."selection to path"
Can anyone let me know how to get the image I selected to actualy show up on new document?

im 19 years old, and i haven't even gone on one date since i was in the 12th grade or since i graduated high school. that was two years ago. last time i really had a boyfriend was in the 9th grade. im not ugly or anything. i am a very shy person. it was a lot easier dating in high school than it is now because there were so many boys at my high school and I would see them everyday. but I go to a vocational school and the majority of the people there are girls. there's only like three guys and they're all gay. I go with my friends to places and hang out, and usually there are a lot of guys there, but usually, they look but they don't approach. I'm not going up to them and start talking becuase i'm affraid of rejection. what should i do?? I wan't to date. what am i doing wrong?? how do I get over my shyness when it comes to guys? I feel so ashamed

I think i am going crazy.I cry everyday and i am mad everyday. I am only fifteen years old.I hate everything and everyone. I hate my school so much. i hate all the teachers even if they like me. I am pushing all my friends away saying that i hate them or by not talking to them. i dont want friends and i hate my parents and i want to run away and just be alone. i think to much and i know it but i still think so hard about everything that i get fustrated and a headache. i keep thinking about death. I hate the thought of dieing and it scared me but i think i am starting to think about suicide even if i am reading a suicidal book call THE BELL JAR by SLYIA PLATH who later killed herself.i dont know what to do. i try to be happy but no matter what i do i am not happy at all.i'm serious. I dont know if it is depression. IS IT? I keep saying i am depress but i dont know. I am a normal girl who pass all her class and have nice parents and good friends. I dont know what wrong with me.HELP ME!!
