They're awfully cute. My teen loves them when she sees them in stores. However, I refuse to pay $80 for a small knapsack! We found some very similar to VB in the Family Dollar store for $6.00 each. We get so many compliments on them. I have used mine every day for 2 years and I just throw it in the washing machine when it's dirty. I don't believe that just because something is designer or high-priced, it's better quality. One time I purchased a beautiful Chanel business card holder and it just fell to pieces within a short period of time. Same thing with Kenneth Cole--and their repairs and service are lousy, in my experience. So, no, I just look for good bargains. Save your $40, and look for a similar bag. They are out there---and you can also make your own. Look for a Simplicity pattern. Good luck!

I don't own one but it's a pretty big fad in my school, and tons fo girls use them. I personally think they're way too small (both sizes, really) to hold much books. Vera Bradley is great quality tho, I've never ever had a problem with their purses & bags ripping or anything like that. For Christmas my mom got me a HUGE Vera Bradley duffel bag and it was probably one of the best gifts I ever got. It holds SO MUCH but i just can't see those tiny backpacks holding anything. My advice is buy a used one off ebay or amazon and if you really love it buy a new one in a more currect pattern or ask for it as a gift.

I love my Vera B Bags- I don't know how the backpacks hold up, but my purses have been through a lot and held up well. I love the new patterns! If it will bring you joy and happiness, you should get it- that's all that matters! Also, you will appreciate it more since you are going to help pay for it!

NO. I promise you that backpack will end up in a closet and you won't even remember it when you are in college. Take that 40 bucks, buy an S&P 500 ETF, and when you are 60 it will be worth $24,783, and I promise you will be glad you did that instead of buying an overpriced backpack.

Yes it is.. Buthonestly, the Chanel bookbags are way better. I have one from there and Louis Viutton, and I get more compliments..
The more expensive the bag (and this is true for most bags) the better quality they are...
Go for it!
