Oh, is it that way all across the US? I thought it was just here in Florida.
I think there's actually a State Senator here that's trying to get a bill passed where slow drivers can be ticketed for being in the fast lane, as it's a safety issue. We'll see- fingers crossed on that one.

This depends upon what you consider to be fast. If a person is travelling at the speed limit then they have every right to be in the left lane. Anyone who exceeds the speed limit deserves jail time. (I mean you Pontiac drivers!) If someone is travelling below the speed limit then, yes I agree with you, (to an extent), they should be in the right lane. However this gives you no right to get impatient. You do not need to continually change lanes. After all, you will not save that much time. just be patient and follow them. You will create a safer driving environment if you do.

It's hard to believe, but I think there are a lot of people that have never heard of the fast lane on the highway.

It's frustrating when *some* Americans do that (I'm American, saying it's frustrating, so...). On the other hand, an inexperienced/insecure driver on the expressway may want to stay in the middle lane to avoid merging traffic.

-----Perhaps *you* are driving too fast. Constantly switching lanes is dangerous; two wrongs do not make a right. And, you can not expect the world to make way for your fast driving. Drive with the traffic, that is what the law says. ---Jim

Dont you just love it when they cut in front of you and then slow down by 20 miles or switch lanes because their signal is on even though there is no room. Maybe you should just give these slow drivers a boost if you know what I mean, lol

You are absolutely right. It is very frustrating.
Many people were never taught to drive. Many people were never taught good manners, either.
Talking on cell phones, drinking, being distracted, etc. are more than annoying, they are dangerous things! Someone can be killed because of someone's thoughtlessness.

It's very frustrating. The majority of the American population today don't possess common road courtesy. It's very sad.

Maybe we get tired of drivers who don't understand speed limits.

why don't speeders realize that just because they choose to drive faster than the law allows, doesn't mean they rule the road?
i don't appreciate some idiot driving with more speed than brains endangering my life!
