I am almost 35 weeks pregnant and my husband's family has not had a thing to do with me the entire time. I had my baby shower a few weeks ago and no one in his family showed up (including his own MOTHER or step mother). Now we have had the discussion (fight) about calling his family while I'm in labor. I told him I didn't want any one there but him, my parents and my best friend. Why should I have to sit there in labor with his family when they couldn't even call me to give me a lame excuse why they didn't come to the shower. I particularly don't want anything to do with them now! How do you not show up to your own grandchild's baby shower? They had four weeks notice!!!!! All this time I've been pregnant I haven't seen or heard from his family one time and we live in the same dang town!!! What do you all think of this? What should I do? I really really don't want his family there!!!

"Somthing wrong?" the dentist asked after calling her through.

"Not really," she replied, "I just really don't like needles."

"Ahh, not to worry!" he said as she sat down, deciding too tell her a spoof story about his rubber gloves as he pulled them on, "You know how they make these gloves?" he asked.

"No," the woman said, interested, "How?"

"Well, the manufactorer gets all the dentists to dip their hands in melted lantex and walk about as it drys before packing it all up and sending it off," He told her. Just as he was about to numb her mouth, he had to stop for she was laughing so hard. "What's so funny?" he asked.

Between her laughs, the woman replied, "I've just thought of how condoms are made!!"

My boyfriend and I have a 7 month old and we have been together for about 1 1/2 years. He refuses to ever get married because he believes "people get married just to turn around and divorce", I believe different and want my daughter to not think its ok to have kids and never get married. This might ruin our relationship all together, and we have everything perfect. I just would like to be married I dont want to be "single all my life," especially with my daughter.
