Why do Black people take offense and get so mad when white people call them N word. But they call each other that all the time. Isn't that just putting each other down?

I can understand if a white person is putting them down by using that term, but what if they don't mean anything negative about it?

I have a 29 gal fish tank and I noticed it was getting foggy looking, so I vacuumed the rocks. Since I did that, it is still real foggy and it has a green tint to it. I went ahead did a 1/4 water change.. and it is still greenish and foggy. Is there anything else I can do? or can someone tell me what it might be?

that's whats happening in new jersey and parents are outraged. their showing these little kids a film called "that's a family" and it deals w/ homosexual couples and their kids. telling our children basically that 2 men or 2 women is alright.

They say "free money" is out there but I sure can't find it! I'm wanting to apply for college for a pre-veterinary course so that I can later go to vet school but I need help. I've applied for FASFA but I didn't get it. My parents make too much but I hardly make anything! Can someone help me? Are there grants for becoming a vet? I regret I didn't DO my best in High School when I could have. (I graduated in 2006 with a 2.89 GPA)

I didn't know what category to place this so I put it here.

I'm a mineral collector and
I love Amber..the rock..or better yet the prehistoric treesap! lol
However I can't tell if its fake or if it's Copal. I purchased two large specimen's with scorpion inside it. Looks beautiful but i really would like to know if it's really amber or something else. Is there any way to test it? Any way to tell?
If i put something hot to it it will only tell me from what type of tree it's from.
Can someone tell me? Thanks I'd appreciate it.

I have a 10 year old who is an outstanding bilingual student, avid reader, good athlete. One problem area for him is to make decisions. For example "where would you like to have your birthday party?" or "where would like to travel with grandma?" or eve "what would you like for Christmas?" - all end in "I don't know - I'll have to think about it". And you go back a few days or weeks later and he still doesn't know and has to ponder further. His grandpa on his mom's side is somewhat similar -very intelligent and pleasant mechanical engineer - but indecisive and awaiting orders. Anyhow - I don't usually see "decision making" on the curriculum for elementary students. But maybe you have some ideas for encouraging and developing this area. Thanks!

Hey there folks,

This may seem like a silly question.... I am just afraid of being wrong on my taxes.

I have always used turbotax and have always done my texes myself... this year was much more diificult. I have quite a few changes so it may be common. I bought a 2nd home, and spent quite a bit of $$ fixing my original home to get it ready to be a rental (finally rented it out in January 2007). So I have two mortgages. Two properties with real estate taxes and lots of interest paid.

I also started a side business out of my home office
on top of my normal everyday job, that had significant upfront investment costs for machinery, computer and software, ending up only drawing a profit of $30 for the year, after all the start up costs.

Turbo Tax shows that I should be getting about $10,000 back, which doesn't sound right, but i have never had so many write off's either. Wondering is this uncommon?
