The only demonstrably 'false' document was the famous 'uranium memo.'

The turned out to have been forged by a French Intelligence operative who gave it to the Italians - who then passed it on to us.

Also remember that - at the time - everybody else though he had those weapons also.

the bush admin.

what they did wasn't so much provide 'false' info as deceive.

they cherry picked the info that was then shown to the congress.

they would literally edit statements like:
"it's highly unlikely that saddam has weapons of mass destruction..."

to read
"it's highly LIKELY that saddam has weapons of mass destruction..."

by removing to letters from that sentence, they completely changed the meaning of it.

this is what they did in order to drum up support for THEIR war.

to this day, the world has no idea why the bush admin invaded iraq.

i no longer say 'america' invaded iraq - since MOST americans are vehemently opposed...

Many of these people don't even realize that there were WMDs in the 80s, given to Saddam by us. Then in the 90s, he had another program, which was shut down and dismantled. Then there was another fictional program in the 2000s which we went to war over. So they make arguments like "he used WMDs on his own people, so there were there".

And that is how people get false information on WMDs.

It was flawed intelligence provided by the CIA. The problem is that Bush and his cohorts chose to accept intelligence that supported a war in Iraq and chose to ignore intelligence that did not support the war. They even went as far as to put pressure on the CIA to come up with justification for the war.

GW announced it himself. Supposedly he got bad intell.

Really, I think it was his desire to go after Saddam with the military that spoke the info to him.

In my opinion it was a manipulated effort by Bush to get the war in Irac going..After all he wasn't going to have to fight or be shot at so why not. He had no sons in the military so he just wanted to help his buddies out to steal the oil. I mean what are friends for?

George Tenet started the ball rolling when he advised the Clinton administration and Bill Clinton went on to warn everyone that Iraq had WMDS and thats the reason he launched the attack inside Iraq bombing the baby factory. It was also to distract attention away from the Monica incident.

CIA, German Intelligence, British Intelligence, Israeli Intelligence. There is not a viable dispute as to whether or not Saddam had WMD's; it is documented that he used them on his own people.

The WMD "question" is only a political ploy to be used on the weak minded.

Start thinking rationally Sonia. Intelligence gathering is not an exact science anywhere, but it is fact that SH kicked out the UN inspectors after refusing to let them go where they wanted to go.

What proof do you have that they don't/didn't exist?
