Two guys are bungee-jumping one day. The first guy says to the second. "You know, we could make a lot of money running our own bungee-jumping service in Mexico."

The second guy thinks this is a great idea, so the two pool their money and buy everything they'll need - a tower, an elastic cord, insurance, etc. They travel to Mexico and begin to set up on the square. As they are constructing the tower, a crowd begins to assemble. Slowly, more and more people gather to watch them at work.

The first guy jumps.

He bounces at the end of the cord, but when he comes back up, the second guy notices that he has a few cuts and scratches. Unfortunately, the second guy isn't able catch him, he falls again, bounces and comes back up again.

This time, he is bruised and bleeding. Again, the second guy misses him.

The first guy falls again and bounces back up. This time, he comes back pretty messed up - he's got a couple of broken bones and is almost unconscious.

Luckily, the second guy finally catches him this time and says, "What happened? Was the cord too long?"

The first guy says, "No, the cord was fine, but what the heck is a "pinata"?

im 26 and my gf just left me for the second time in our 8 year relationship to be alone and maybe travel. she reckons she is not ready to give me what i want and settle down. She doesnt want anyone else and i believe that. I am moving on and doing my own thing now but because of our great history and the fun we had i maybe hold a glympse of hope that she may want me back. When we split i told her not to contact me or call etc, we have a house and bank accounts together so there is some sorting out to do but i dont like the way i left things. A part of me wants to write a letter and clear up the no contact thing incase she decides to work on things again. The catch is i feel as though i took control of the situation by saying no contact and i dont want her to think i am waiting around just waiting for her, i want her to know my intentions are to move on. So should i just leave things and trust that if she wants to sought things out she will call me or should i write a patch up letter?

Thank-you for taking the time to read this.

I have a picture of a form of multi-cellular algae. My first guess was brown algae, but I'm second guessing myself. It looks like a leafy-plant, and it has roots (looks like the roots of a plant). The question is:
Is this brown algae? If not, what type of algae is it?
What is the function of the roots on the algae?
Are these even roots? (Could be calling them by the wrong name)

My friend stayed at my house last night, shes a diabetic and her sugars were high, well she ended up throwing up all night and wasn't getting better at all. She was constantly throwing up and was hot and exhausted. Did i do the right thing by calling 911? They started fluids right away and admitted her to the hospital, her sugars were over 600. She was in ICU so they could monitor her today/tonight. How long will they keep her in the hospital? Shes a single mom and i am watching her 3yr old daughter and had to miss work as my friend had no one else to watch her and abviously cant have her at the hospital with her. Her daughter knows shes sick and in the hospital and was here when they took her away and we went and saw her today. But misses her mom alot.
