I am taking a stats class and am having some trouble getting some of the calc done. I need to know how to integrate this.
f(x) = .1*e ^ (-.2 * |x|) for neg infinity< x < infinity. I don't need the answer (1), I know this is the answer, but I can't find it. When i tried this, i ended up with this:
(.1/-.2) * (e ^ (-.2 * |x|) from neg. infinity to infinity), but that would give me the answer of 0.
Please help me.
