what causes them? and how to get rid of them?

my understanding is that they're caused by a sudden loss of blow flow/oxygen to the brain. if you're experiencing them frequently I'd talk to a doctor. one way to help prevent them though is to get up slower

Anything that will carry too much blood to your brain and comes back out too quickly.
Avoid standing up too quickly went bent down or over. If you feel a rush coming on, bend back over a little to get blood back into the brain

Blood, better to have the rushes, then loose blood, lack of blood causes dizzyness, migraines, and eventually death if severe enough. Extreme activity, adrenalin from being excited, or irregular blood pressure can cause rushes.
