My kitten has been refusing to eat and drink since yesterday and i brought him to vet for a thorough checkup. They did a X-Ray scan on him and found his pelvic fractures due to some blunt hit on his leg, well he used to be a stray cat and i rescued him from the road side. I'm really confused here and scared, I dont know what should I do with him since he has been refusing to eat and drink, often vomit after we fed him medicine to soften this faeces and antibiotic. He even got a swollen buttock too! I know i can't keep him at home for long if he keeps vomitting as he will gets dehydrated and die but he's just 2 months old! I really dont know what to do...I'll taking its to the vet tonight for dripping/fluids to keep him hydrated and i really hope he didnt get any panleukopenia virus from my other cat which was admitted to the hospital until now. According to the doc, human can transfer such virus to kitten if they handle them with the same hand unwashed. I need your advise seriously

I purchased a Toyota Scion XA back in December right before Christmas and was told that they are very gas efficent and will safe me alot of money on gas. My experience has not been like that. I think this car is really going to put a hole in my pocket. Before this car I had a Toyota Corolla S and a full tank lasted me at least 7-8 days where as with this Scion a tank of gas is only lasting me 3 days. I took it to the dealership to have it looked at and they told me that there was nothing wrong with the car and they gave it a oil change. Anyone else have stories about these cars? Is it possible there is just something wrong with mine?

As an American, this has always confused me.
I admire European society and politics in general because they are much more liberal and progressive than American society and politics.

However, on the issue of separation of church and state, Europe is really backwards. They still have official state religions. They even teach religion in public school!

If Europeans are so progressive, why do they do this?

What makes this even stranger is that Europeans are much less religious than Americans. Far fewer Europeans go to church than Americans. Yet we Americans are the ones who were progressive enough to separate church and state (and have been so since the founding of our country in 1776!)

(yes, I know there are some inconsistencies, such as "in God we trust" being printed on our money, and pledging on the Bible in court, but overall we have more separation of church and state than Europe, and ours is in our constitution)

My college professor saw an old "Fort Leavenworth Death Row" belt buckle some years ago. It was given to guards at the prison. It was for sale, he did not buy it. Does anyone have an idea where I can find one?

What "right' shall we go after after we get 'free' health care?
Food. You can't live without food. You will die without it. Using the same logic, the should food be a right? Universal groceries!

Shelter. Same as above. especially in cold climates. you'd die without shelter. "we live in the richest nation on earth! a free McMansion for every American!"

Education. is it fair that rich kids have laptop computers to do their homework on while YOUR kid has to do his homework at the library? I say no! MICHAEL DELL! FORK THEM OVER!

Where does it end???

I'm going to Disney World and I'm 17. I need something to carry all my stuff in when I go to the parks but I dont want the bag to look dumb. I also don't want something like a purse that I could set down and lose. Is a fanny pack the only way to go or is there anything more fashionable that fits my criteria?

I keep seeing Muslims trying to convince us that there is "modern science" in the Koran, so I decided to check it out with an open mind. One of them shows me a couple verses that talks about God creating heaven and Earth, and how he spread it out like a carpet.

[51.47] And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample.
[51.48] And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out.

Then the Muslim says...

"LOOK! Allah has revealed the expansion of the universe to Mohammad 1400 years before science found it! It's a MIRACLE! You see my friend? This proves the Koran is from Allah!"

So I point out, "it says that God spread the EARTH out like a carpet, as if the Earth is flat, and we know now that the Earth is NOT flat."

The hypoglycemia symptoms I have been having are so bad that I hate the thought of this glucose tolearnce test inducing those symptoms. Have any of you had the test or work in a lab and administer the test? Is there a chance I could pass out or even go into shock if the test makes my blood sugar go low enough? This is my main worry. Also, the test is not being done in a hospital or doctor's office, but in a free-standing laboratory.

If you don't know the answer to this question, please don't answer.

Thanks for your help!
