A friend of mine is a jailer at the county lock-up and asked if this would be cruel and unusual punishment. the inmates don't eat till after 12:30 pm, so he was going to make a bag of microwave popcorn at noon and set it by the fan for 5 minutes (allowing the smell to go throughout the floor) before eating it. What do you think?

She is young enough to be our daughter and we love her very much and have always treated her as a daughter. But they both have acted "lovey-dovey" towards each other lately and it has made me wonder what is going on. He is impotent so I'm not worried about that, but it worries me about where his heart is and his faithfulness to me. It breaks my heart when I see him respond to her and not to me and when I see them sitting together on the couch when it isn't necessary. I've spoken to both of them in private about it but it hasn't helped at all. I've even had people whom I trust tell me that they've seen them kissing and hugging. He always takes her home by himself. I am disabled and not able to always go everywhere with him so he invites her to go with him instead of taking me. I'm at the end of my rope and just don't know what to do anymore. Please someone give me some idea of what I should do or say!!!

What I am referring to is the current popularity of INTENTIONAL errors and overall stupidity. In everyday life children and even many adults are decimating the English language. In many schools you have a culture where kids who strive to succeed or do better than merely average are looked down upon simply because they work. People are actually taking pride in being lazy and generally ignorant about the world around them.

I understand it to an extent as laziness is as much a part of human nature as anything else, but what I find disturbing is the fact that this culture appears to be taking over. Ultimately this deterioration means that people who actually do work hard to succeed will have to work even harder just to get along, so this is everybody's problem.

This is concern, not anger. How do we fix it?

Just wondering. My friend is 17 and he has really bad cholesterol. And the thing is, he isn't even overweight...He is very skinny (I always expect someone with bad cholesterol to be overweight). He eats fast food all the time and that is why he has this problem. I have been trying to get him to stop eating fast food...cooking him a healthy dinner when I get the chance (he is raised by his mother who works two jobs, so she doesn't cook, only brings Wendy's or Burger King home for him).

Please help me. Thank you.

it is a general discomfort in my chest and mid section, but not a real pain, more like indigestion. i think it may have been because i held the smoke in until the joint came back round again. hope someone can shed some light on the subject. cheers

Have problem filling up my 99' Mazda Protege's gas tank. Every gas nozzle at every station I use when getting gas will start clicking off, after just a few dollars worth, even when the tank is low. And this will continue every couple dollars thru the entire filling up. What is going on?

There is an even better line later about “performance anxiety” but I am already thinking that I have earned a violation for this. (in reference to the above mentioned song, even the word "violation" sounds funny to me) They have so many funny/sad but true songs but this is my favorite.
