I have noticed one particular family picking up their child,instead of going to the line of cars by the side of the school, they pull up to the crossing guards and have their kindergarten son run into the street to get into their car then take off on down the road. I have witnessed him almost being hit on at least 5 occasions this school year. As this is a safety issue shouldn't the school being doing something. I work directly with the principal and she just shakes her head and waves her finger at them when they do this, at least 4 times a week, and then does nothing to stop it. Is there anything anyone can do about this unsafe pick up routine?

I am looking for ideas of things to put in a basket for new parents whose newborn is sick and in a Children's Hospital. I am trying to think of things that would make their time there more comfortable if that is at all possible. Thanks!

A few of my answers have been removed in the last few weeks by Yahoo answers and i keep getting violations, i cant understand this as my answers are my opinions and are always answering the question and are usually quite in depth, but they are saying that my answer is in violation for not being a question or an answer ????????????. I think it is because we have a lot of people (or maybe its just one) who are reporting peoples answers when they have no reason too.
Can anyone shed some light on the matter.

Our house is currently covered in carpet. We have a dog who sheds and has occasional accidents in the carpet. I'm debating whether or not to switch to hardwood floors. I would like to to the floating because of cost. Does anyone have advice? Should I stick it out with carpet? Is wood that much easier?

I have been trying to conceive now for alittle while. I have been off birthcontrol for months and months now... We don't protect. It's almost been a year...but we don't really count when i ovulate. We have sex about 3-4 times a week. Shouldn't i be pregnant by now?Can everyone give me their feedback, and maybe their advice on how you got pregnant? Thank You!

Hi all,

My roomie doesn't like fish much less the scent of it. I don't eat meat...so fish is all I have. I love salmon so I like to cook it. Is there anything I can do to sort of lessen the smell as I cook it? (even air fresheners don't work when I am done, and I also have to open windows (in the dead of winter!!) to air out the place. I feel badly for her...but I need to eat.
