There are still a lot of movies with real life issues--including the ones with violence, crime, sex, drugs, gangsters/stas, etc.
Personally, I like an old-fashioned love story better--or a good drama about a real person.
Hollywood produces what people want to see. That is why there are such a variety of movies. Hollywood has always been about glitz and glamor.

Not 100%. Still we have good movies like RDB, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Guru, Kabul Express etc etc... But majority of Bollywood movies are focusing on vulgarity...

Films are escapist.
The grimmer the reality...the more escapist the films.
I have only seen small portions of Indian movies.
And one of them had to do with a monkey wearing a crown.
Bollywood probably does business the same way Hollywood does.
They give the people what they want.
What sells.

Don't watch that crap.
Its seriously disgusting.
If people stop watching it, the producers will lose money and stop making it.
