I am scheduled to take this class on Feb. 21 and was wondering what it was all about. If you have taken it all the info you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well i was never offered a class for this it must be something new but i would assume they are gonna show you excatly what happends before you get one and how they are gonna do it and what it looks like and maybe show you a movie on it i had epidurals with both my first was great my second was inserted in my vein and they messed it up i got terribly ill from it vomiting dizziness and fever so i guess they just want you to watch and see what it looks like so you can see what you are getting before you really get it i think its great and dont let my story discourage you even though if i could go through it completly natural i would i couldnt even push when it came time to push that seems to be the worse part of it but good luck and stay positive it really is the best thing for pain if its done right

I have never heard of an epidural class... but I wish I had one to go to.

I knew I wanted the epidural... but I didn't really know what to expect when it came to getting it put in, maintaining the drug levels, what to expect after, etc.

Knowledge is power... I'd take the class because you never know what might happen, and the more informed you are, the less you'll stress out in a situation where you need to decide on the epidural.

If it was being offered 5 years ago, I definitely would've attended. Like all medications, the Epidural has it's side effects. There are days where my back hurts like there is no tomorrow. But everyone is different! I think you should take the class so that you're fully aware of EVERYTHING that has to do with that shot. Good luck. Keep me posted.

Wow! No, I took a class on what happens during delivery and it touched on the use of epidurals. I wish I had that class though!
