My mothers mom and I were NOT close, to different, but I still miss her after 28 yrs... she died YOUNG... she was a tiny little thing and I got taller than her when I was only around 8 yrs old... it was a joke for us kids to pat her on the head and tell her she would grow soon !!! LOL
My fathers mother and I, along with grandfather would take trips and we would laugh and cut up... my grandmother did ALL the driving and she was NOT a , what you would call SAFE driver !! it finally caught up with her when she was killed by cutting in front of an 18 wheller in Houston , Tx., my grandfather lived thru it, by Gods grace !!! Grandmother could NOT cook !!! LOL, so I do not miss that, but I still miss her LOVE !!!! after 28 yrs.. I lost both grandmothers , within 8 months of each other while I was pregnant with my middle son.... *sigh*, now I smile at the memories !!!!!! God bless

I was taken away from my grandma into a foster home about 8 years ago and was adopted 3 years later and the thing I miss about my grandma is that she always loved me and when I was 3 years old me and her always took a nap on a rocking chair all snuggled in her lap, and I could always talk to her like I don't talk to anyone else, she loved me so much I was like her own child but to this day I still remeber it but I look at it in diffrent ways because as you grow you start to look at things diffrently but when she gave me away it made my life so much better.

The way i use to be able to hold a normal conversation with her.
She has Alzheimer's Disease and we all can see her memory slowly slipping away. Its hard to watch because in my mind i remember the Grandma that took me to lunch, the mall and my dentist appts when i was younger, she'd tell me stories, and it was happy times with grandma. Now she forgets what she told you 5 minutes after she told you. (sometimes sooner). I had to "babysit" her while my Grandpa was in the hospital for heart surgery and she asked me at least 15 times that night, "is grandpa ok, is he coming home soon? tomorrow, right? tomorrow he'll be back if he's better...." It sucks, mega. But I guess its my turn to take her to the lunch, the mall and tell her stories. I still love her the same though.

Considering my grandmother just passed away on Friday, I'm at the state where I'm flooded with memories and I miss everything about her. From the way she always had granola bars in her cupboard, to the way she taught me how to type and divide fractions. The walks to school, the trips to the park, her flowers in the back yard, etc. Lots of memories.

I had the two best grandmas and I miss both of them. I am the first granddaughter and was named for both of them. I was spoiled by them for all of my childhood. I traveled all over with one grandma and the other would let me do anything. I remember watching old movies with them and eating candy until I was sick. I remember going through their jewelry cases and playing with expensive jewelry and beads. I remember the dress up, the fine restaurants and the home-cooked meals, peanut butter on a big spoon and making crackers together.
Thanks, I needed that!

I miss her upbeat attitude. She was as sharp as a tack until the day she died (she was 93 when she passed away). She could tell a story like nobody else---made you feel like you were there. I also miss her oven-fried chicken and poppy seed cake. Oh, I have the recipes, but they just don't seem to taste the same when I make them.

My grandma raised me and I was the only child, so I could call her for anything, and get anything I wanted. I miss not being to call on her for help when I really need it now being a single parent and all.

Both my grandmas are still alive, but one lives in Arizona and the other lives in a different part of the same state as me, so I don't get to see them very often. My grandma in AZ makes delicious buttermilk biscuits that she always makes for us.
And I miss my other grandma's poop kisses. I promise that's not as gross as it sounds!! Whenever we give her a hug and a kiss she'll surprise us and vibrate her lips against our neck or cheek so it tickles really bad! We call it a poop kiss because the noise it makes sounds like a poop/fart LOL

I was just thinking about this yesterday, actually. I lost three of my grandparents within two years, so now all I have left is one grandpa. I miss them all so much... more than anything, I just miss their hugs. There was enough love in the arms of any of them to give me strength and encouragement to sustain me until the day I die.

Everything. She was crazy and I loved that about her. She would walk around the house naked like nobody else was there! She would flip off other old ladies on the road, and when she 1st met my dad, she asked him if 1 of her boobs was bigger than the other!!! She was awsome and made me laugh!
