i don't understand why anyone would choose to be gay.
i understand why people would do other sins, for example:
while i don't condone it, i can certainly understand why some people commit adultery, the pressure to have a "fling" with another "newer" person is something that almost every indivdual finds themselves fighting at some point.
i can understand why some people steal. i am not rich but i have everything that i need to stay be "economically comfortable." but i imagine that if i was pretty dang poor and theft was a prevalent thing amoung the people i grew up with, i would probably feel more pressure to commit petty theft.
but, (especially as a straight male) i just don't understand why people would choose to be gay. most people who are gay discover their own sexual orientation at the same time as normal children do, why would they at that age, decide to go against what the bible says and be gay? considering that there are serious religious AND sociological consequences for being homosexual, why would anyone tell themselves, at 11,12, 13 years old "well, i guess i'm gonna be gay"?
