The principal teaching of Islām, for utter simplicity, is what is known as the shahādah, or confession of faith, which every Muslim knows by heart: “La ilāh illa Allāh; Muḥammad rasūl Allāh” (No god but Allah; Muḥammad is the messenger of Allah). This agrees with the Qur’ānic expression, “Your God is One God; there is no God save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful.” (Surah 2:163, MMP) This thought was stated 2,000 years earlier with the ancient call to Israel: “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.” (Deuteronomy 6:4) Jesus repeated this foremost command, which is recorded at Mark 12:29, about 600 years before Muḥammad, and nowhere did Jesus claim to be God or to be equal to Him.—Mark 13:32; John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 15:28.

This is a really good question. The people of the book are the Christians and Jews that followed their religion the way the prophets told them. These are the people with the original scripts that were revealed to them. My Imam says that the Christians and Jews of today are not the same as the original. So it is better not to marry a Christian or Jew for a Muslim. Some Muslim men do Marry Christian or Jewish women. Who is a real Jew or Christian I don't know. By the way this is only allowed for men. I think it is the Orthodox Jews and Christan's.

To marry from any different religion is like riding a bike with a Truck tyre and a Cycle tyre. Will that bike work? Of course NOT.
Therefore, I find Jehovah witness the true christians as they believe in the True message of Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him). Therefore when they believe in GOD, dont ascribe any partners to GOD then they have NOT committed 'Shirk'
Muslims are allowed to marry from the people of the Book (those who dont do Shirk).

Good that you see the difference between JWs and "Christians".
A Jehovah's Witness could never marry a Muslim though.

sorry to break the news to you but
Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christians.
In order to qualify for that title, you must believe that Jesus Christ IS God......
and they do not.
that also makes their "religion" as false as Islam so, hey.....
have at it!!
