Here's the situation, there are two possible pahtes you can follow, if you take one path you can possibly have happiness and a very small chance of love, if you take the other path you have the oportunity of success and relative fame, however your happiness is not as great and your chance for love is gone, which one do you pick, note that both happiness and success are not garenteed no matter what path you choose.

I'd go for the chance at happiness and love. If you have happiness and love, you have success. If you have financial success and fame but no happiness or love, "success" really isn't true success...........you really have nothing. Happiness and love is what gives meaning to success.

For some people...the success path you described would bring them happiness. For me, what good is success UNLESS you can have happiness? Otherwise, your life is nothing but an empty, shallow lie.
One does not need to be a rock star to be considered a success. There are normal, basic people who are successful teachers, artists, janitors, whatever who never acheive fame. What makes a person a success to me is how they touch others' lives, and how much they make of their own.

I choose transcendence which is guaranteed. I'd take happiness. I'd rather be happy as a failure than miserable as a success.
Success doesn't denote a good life. And there's no way I could lead a life with no chance of love.
