I've begun meditating and some thoughts are very emotional (happy, with the idea of enlightenment, that there is a way to break free) and sometimes I cry, its hard to keep focused. Is it normal to do this and if so, how do i keep focused?

i wishe my parents hadn't baptised me. Then i wouldn't have to pretend to pray at our mini alter in our house. The other night I dreamt that this guy I use to fool around, he was the first person I actually got "intimate" with and then he got a gf anyway, I was in choir and the choir room was re done and he came up to me leaned me up against the wall and asked if I wanted to "fool" around, I said no you have a gf and then he kissed me while i just sat there. I didn't kiss him back but when he kissed me I wanted to but he smiled and walked away. Then later on he was all over his gf not making out just huging and whispering in her ear and for some reason I wanted to "fool" around with him even though he confused me so much and was a big jerk to me. I'm so confused!

My Hamster died today. She was a great little Hammy...very gentle, very smart for a hammy. I have had four other hamsters in the last 10 years, but never one that felt so much like a family member. Yes, it sounds odd, but the little guy really worked its way in to the family. Now, I think I need to fill the void....I need a new pet..I am not sure I should get another hamster, since Its life span is only 2-3 years. I do not know if I am ready to commit to a dog yet... so Any ideas?
