for example what is the nfl going to do with all the tons of new orleans saints and patriots t-shirts and caps that they had to be print with the logo " saints nfc champions and pats afc champions" ?

I read once that they donate them to homeless shelters (though not in the losing team's home area). There's probably only about 100-150 for each team; most don't get printed till after the game.

Once in awhile you can find the "misprints" in retail stores, but for the most part, they are donated as a tax write-off for the NFL Properties and official licensee company (Reebok, etc)

Legally, the losing team t-shirts must be destroyed... misprints or not.

They are sent to underprivileged in other countries, since half of these shirts do not truly reflect the winners.

I have it on good authority that they are destroyed...they have to be. Nobody is allowed to wear them because it's false information
