My daughter is 22 and over the year we have had turbulent relationship but my husband and I have done our best for her. We have tried to support in everything she has chosen to do. Last year she meat a man slightly older then herself and appeared to calm down. They have moved in together and have been very happy. She asked my husband and I if she could have some mail sent to our address because she want to change her bank and formal identification is our address; we said yes. Last month a letter came that was a demand for money we ask if she had the money and she said it was a mistake and she had paid it. However, it turns out she £14,000 in debt and has been applying for loans, credit cards etc from my address. Last week she was taken to court, for non-payment and we have had a letter saying the bailiffs are coming to our house. My husband and I have some money saved for our retirement and thinks weshould bail her out. I think she should pay it back.

What are the tax filing requirements for a final return? A spouse of a friend of mine passed away this year. I believe that last year, they filed under the status of Married, filing jointly. From what I've read from the internet and Yahoo Answers (thx!) that she can probably file again as Married, filing jointly. I believe that her husband had a will and named a son (from a previous marriage) as the executor of the will.

In that case, when she files, does the executor have to sign the return where her husband's name would usually be? Or can she still sign it as surviving spouse? Also, who's responsibility is it to prepare the final return, the surviving spouse or the executor? They really aren't in much speaking terms, so if they can't come to an agreement to create a Joint tax return, what are her options for her taxes? Can she just go ahead and file as Married, filing separately, and let the executor do the final return for her deceased spouse separately? Thanks.

I know their primary role was to get rid of the rats and mice on board, and as such the need for a cat has probably died out, but wondered if they might keep them on for tradition or somesuch?

Thanks!

Do people do this a lot? I always want to sit next to the windows seat in a flight (its the child in me), but I'm always embarassed to ask them for a window seat. Do a lot of people ask for a particular seat while checking-in?
