By no means all do, it is a small proportion, mostly based in the US, who for some reason revel in their ignorance.

Not all christians are creationists. The vast majority of Christians in the world have found a way for science and faith to co-exist. Frankly, the bible doesn't deny evolution, it states that god created the animals, not much after that.
There are some Christians who take the word of the bible literally and there are some Christians who wish to out-Christian others by being radical. The issue that they follow is that the first part of Genesis separates God's creation of all of the parts of the world into "days". Modern theology usually interprets that as being an unknown timeline (especially due to the age of the authors and writing). Literal Translationists take the point of view that it was a six 24 hour period job.

yes...life as we know it...the way a baby is grown, photosynthesis, bird flight patterns, the 1000's types of birds, etc. ALL came from some MINDLESS miniscule parasite that has NO brain & things in nature work together perfectly. There was NO intelligent design. And tell me, why do you not want to answer How that 1st cell got here? Scientists have always been wrong. Keep in mind, it's called the THEORY of evolution. NOT proven. The brightest men in the world once thought Earth was flat & many other things, & were proved wrong. Where did you get that animals "came" to earth at different times? And if evolution is fact, why did it all of a sudden stop? Even if it takes millions of years, don't you think we would be in that millionth year right now for at least ONE or MORE creatures? The Bible has proven itself true whether you like it or not. A whole book written over centuries by tens of authors & there are no contradicitons??? AND it has & IS proving prophecies as they come true. Let me know when any other religion or any scienteists do that. PLEASE...email me answers to my questions.

A lot of it has to do with deliberate and extensive propaganda.
Notice that the people here who argue against evolution almost inevitably either cut-and-paste from creationist propaganda websites (you've got one of those here) or simply repeat creationist propaganda slogans (e.g., "evolution is only a theory", "teach both sides", "missing link", etc. - you have some of those here as well).
We do occasionally get something from a creationist who seems to have come up with some bad argument on his own (e.g., the recent "we don't live long enough lives to evolve" one), but for the most part it's not that they've decided on their own to resist evolution, but that the very active propaganda networks in the U.S. are very effective.

The Christan view: according to the Bible is that the earth and man and womankind were "created" in 7 days, man/woman were "created" as we look now. The fossil record, as an right thinking individual knows, disputes all of these claims. There is a small group of religious freaks who would rather have intelligent design taught in our schools rather than Evolution. Darwin was right!

Do evolutionists resist Creation simply because it goes against the idea of the big bang? or are they really that clueless?

Most Christians only resist the "man from monkey" thing, and there IS still a missing link. Most educated people, Christian or not, do NOT however resist the "evolution of the species" aspect. You are too polarized about it.

Some do. The fundamentalist movement nowadays likes to hearken back to what it views as simpler times, and if that includes an outdated worldview, they'll do that as well. Some even dress old-style and don't even use birth control!
Then again, I don't know whether fundies should even be called Christians, as the Anglican church is Christian but accepts evolution.

I'm a Christian and I believe evolution. And it doesn't go against what it says in the Bible. Only fundamentals believe that.

Of course. The Bible says all life on earth was created by an all-powerful God whose name is . Genesis 1:21 says that life reproduces "according to its kind," it did not evolve. Why the person above me claims to be Christian AND support evolution tells me one thing: she/he is not a Christian.

Christians never resists "evolution" because evolution exists in this world and the natural laws of science observed and practiced by God too.
- Eg. of evolution aspect: from the "big bang" to finely develop galaxies, universe, planets, stars aged for billion of years and
- patronizing the natural law of science (eg. with gravity...everythings fall down to the ground.
But, it is God who create all these phenomena, the materials to be dealt with. It exist through God creation with His word. Everything is created perfectly, magnificently and completely because there is some kind of an intelligent planner & designer.
He created the sun to give light to the universe, creates heaven and earth, land and seas, plants, fishes, animals, human kind to populate the world and genetic material for self-replications of every specie.
You only believe in evolution pertaining man existing from monkey. because there are similarity in its make-up, but doesn`t mean man is previously a monkey. There might be mutations, alterations of one specie depending on survival adaptations but they remain within the confine of their specie. So, you cannot say, complex being evolved from single cell animals for billion of years...or you might say, our mid-evolutionary forms are the dinosaurs or any fishes?
I bet you don`t believe in spirit and ghost too, why they exist? All answers points to the existence of God, the creator.
