In the US, if you have an MBA with a field in finance from a top 15 business school -- doors will open for you and you will get a starting salary over $100,000.

The same degree from a school ranked 16-50 will allow you to get some sort of job in finance at a reasonable salary. These degrees are generally worth the cost.

The same degree from a school that is not ranked will not do much for you. It might help you advance at the company where you now work (assuming you work full time and get the degree part time). But it won't get you a new job and the increase in salary will not be worth the expense.
