So here it is:
the 1st term of a geometric series is 18 and the sum of the first 3 terms is 38, wat is the value of the common ratio?

im sorry but this saddens to know that those men in black, sat in their cars hoping to catch a speeding car(and thats as good as their day gets) get payed more than those who are putting their life on the line everyday. if there are any serviceman or ex RM,s give me your thoughts and please do the public. its not like the these chaps have 11weeks training and off they go to IRAQ, these people are dedicated and very determined and i can say from my own expierience that i guarantee you require more confidence, responsibility and greater teamwork skills in the marines. let me know your thoughts

I am married since 1 year, and do not have any kids. I had a bad marrige all through the year, and my wife finally left my house. But till now none of us have talked about divorce. I've been married for 2yrs, and we have a baby. The problem is that I love my husband alot but I just don't like to hug, kiss or cuddle with him any more. I don't know why? He's greatest thing that ever happened to me,he's a great guy. He'd do anything for me. He's always throwing it in my face,saying that I'm cheating on him, which I'm not and would never do it either. I'm going to school at night and then taking care of my baby, picking up the house, and doing my,studying/homework in the day.So I'm pretty tired when I get home at night.When I was growing up I never saw my parents.show any affection towards each other and I still have'nt to this day.I'm not making any excusses, saying that's why I'm doing it. I'm just trying to make everything all better and bring the sparks back into our relationship.

my best friend lets call him tom left his wife of 10 years...well just recently going thru a bad divorce myself,,, her and i kept each other company. i would come by and get her and we would go out for a beer and let her tell me what a sob he has been to her...she after a yr or so she started telling me (now mind i have never made a move on her never)that she wishes she could meet someone as caring as me...then after awhile of that she would say how about you?? well i didnt know what to say.but i have started having feelings that maybe i would like to get serious,,but we still have a lot of mutual friends,and i fell this mite be akward...what if tom came to visit me and she was there, (very akward) i know he dont deserve her as he has treated her to badly....but i just think the akwardness mite get to me one day plzzzz help... i think i love her,,,,,

Society demands that you reach certain standards before you can do certain things - for example, you have to demonstrate your proficiency in a driving test before being allowed to drive a car. Would it not therefore make sense for prospective parents to have to pass a test (or at the very least receive some training or teaching) before having children ? Look around you - even on yahoo answers - and ask yourselves : would the world be a better place without some of these people ? Should they be allowed to have childen ?
