It is not very loud to start of with and yes puppies do make a lot of noises once mum has cleaned of the embryonic sac from around them. This is a really good sign it means her puppies are alive and want food now. They make little grunting noises right up to a high pitch yelp or scream if they are hurt. Please leave mum alone with her pups as much as you can and also be careful as mums can become very protective and sometimes aggressive toward there owners if they are handling there puppies to much even the nicest dogs. But not all of them.

Good luck have fun

yes yes & yes.....they will make noise, they will abrk & whine they will need to have thei area cleaned up everyday to keep your house from smelling & even with proper cleaning there will still be a animal smell to the house untill the whleping box is gone.....you willl need to spen a lot of time & soemmoney to properly care for & bring heappy healthy puppies into the world....they will make noise untill they are gone or are old enought to train to keep quite which wont be untill they are quite a bit older.....my reccomendation to you is to have Athena spayed after she has this litter of pups.....breeding dogs & birthing/raising puppies takes A LOT of time & work & by the sounds of it you ahve no idea what you have gotten yourselves into.....be patient & please make sure all the upps get GOOD homes where they will be cared for & kept happy & healthy
best of luck to you
