In my silly little country, Holland, we never learned about Creationism. But I see the ongoing debate on this forum about having Creationism be taught in schools.

The last weeks I asked a lot of questions about Creationism. I wondered _how_ God did it, how it was possible to 'speak into existence 50 billion planets in 6 days (that's 518.000 planets per second), what materials he used, etc, etc.

The only answer I constantly got was "God did it, and He is beyond logic".

So, assuming Creationism was taught as a valid theory in schools, how would this lesson take longer than 2 minutes?

Would there be any value in attempting to make help or counseling available to people who fit the profile of serial killers, serial rapists, serial child abusers, before they ply their trade for the first time? Would such a person seek or accept help? Could lives be saved? Am I being overly optimistic?

It's not that I think we are being too hard on them. Personally, I don't care if they rot in hell.

It's just that if we wait until they've killed 3 or more people before we begin to profile, identify, pursue, prosecute, or find other ways to stop them., are we not doing society a disservice?

We poison the earth , we fight wars, no one will ever really win, why dont we find solution to our common problems , religion should not be an obstacle , common sense is only needed, we would all benefit . He expressed his love and told me he didnt want to lose me. I find out the reason he was feeling this way was bc he got a onenight stand pregnant months bfr we met. I helped him come to terms he decided to want to meet his child & I told him he should be apart of the childs life.Well, he decided to remain friends w/ me until he figured how to deal with it all, but to hold on to "us". But I found out he was developing feelings for the mom and he got caught out. We had a huge blow out and exchanged very hurtful words and was cold and hurtful..we never did before.Then we spoke again and he said it was all uncalled for. Yet, I feel he wasn't sincere about it. He wasnt even able to speak to me on the phone for more then 2 min.Now he doesnt want to speak to me at all.All I wanted was to discuss the matter.His he feeling guilty, does he feel imperfect in my eyes now, so he is acting defensive?Did he really want me gone? Idont want him back, I just cant get how someone can be this way.

It's clear, the USA has died. The new USA, a.k.a., The North American Union, is here. We were cheated out of our freedoms. Sorry folks, but there are no foreign terrorists who threaten our freedoms. It is all internal. And those of you who support our demise.....well, you all have taken me to a new low. You have all but stripped my belief in God from me by blindly supporting worldwide MURDERS in the name of WHAT? I still haven't figured out WHY.

Anyway, one thing this new low has brought me, is back, closer to my HOPE that there really is a God. Because I know that, or I HOPE that, there are levels of hell. I may not make it to heaven, but I surely will now have to spend eternity with any of our illustrious leaders. They'll be in the bowels of hell.

All i really know, based on HOPE, is that if there is a heaven and hell, I'll not burn like Bush and those who have assisted him in creating this God forsaken nightmare.

Her and I have known eachother for 3 years, we've been dating for 4 months, and I can honestly say that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. My parents think it's stupid that I've found 'love' at such a young age (I'm almost 16).

I proposed the "can my girlfriend sleep over?" question at first and my mom almost said yes and my stepdad said "hell no". She did the same at her house and her entire family laughed in her face.

We are both upset our parents don't trust us, but now we've talked it over with eachother and out parents and they've decided to honestly think about it.

We would not have sex when she slept over. Just want to get that straight. No sex. She wants to feel the security she feels when she's in my arms when she goes to sleep and I actually want to wake up with her by my side. Sometimes I come over at 6 am just to fall back asleep with her. My parents say they need to talk to hers more.

What is your opinion on the situation?

What would you do if while you are sitting in your car in the parking lot of a grocery store, someone bumps a grocery cart on the side of your car by accident and causes a scratch? My bf and I've been going out for 3 months now and our friends know it. But before we got together, my friends kept on playing/teasing around that this guy friend (G) and I are together. From talking with a close friend, we both felt that my bf knew about these rumors, and b/c at first he didn't know it was just teasing, the rumors were what 'made him act quicker' and ask me out. Another close friend of mine told me that G actually did (maybe still does?) have feelings for me. Lately, G seems to be hanging around a lot more, and he continues to try and walk/sit beside me (going so far as to slow down and leave a conversation with other friends to be beside me), and today for example, he skipped a few classes. I don't know if he skipped because he felt like it, or if it was b/c I was planning to go home at that time, but he always seems to be purposely waiting for me these days. My bf seems to be a bit 'wary' but hasn't done anything yet. Should I avoid/ignore G, or what? Suggestions?

A friend of mine brought her neighbor over recently to visit and we all started talking. Now this was the first time I had met her neighbor keep this in mind. Anyways the woman goes on to tell me (a perfect stranger!) about ALL of her medical conditions. Epilepsy, diabetes, bipolar, you name it she has it. Plus my friend tells me she is a drug addict. Long story short the woman had 6 children (three were taken by the state). Anyways she was telling me about how wonderful her six year old son is while she's having a seizure. Now me and my friend are arguing about her. I say, knowing she had all these terrible diseases/conditions and still having children is irresponsible and selfish. She says it's not. She says people have mistakes, I say endangering and traumatizing SIX innocent children is no mistake. I know she didn't ask for any of the sickness but still... In your opinion who is right?
