I currently own a Canon Powershot S1 IS camera, 3.2 megapixels, 10x optical zoom, capable of 640x480 video w/ sound.
I recently stumbled upon the Canon S2 IS, the next generation update to the S1, for a seriously reduced clearance price at Sears (where i also receive a 10% discount). I bought the last 2, thinking I could sell at least one of them at a profit, but then I got to thinking, I should sell my old S1 in favor of the newer model. The S2 has got 5.0 MP, with a 12x optical zoom, and improved movie mode with stereo recording audio.
Bottom line, I picked up the S2 for $222.99. Rock bottom solid. Problem is, I love my S1 so much and it has been so problem-free that I don't know if I should risk going to the next model.
Furthermore, the S3 is now entering the market, but is still way out of my price range. Do you think S2 would be the best value? I've heard it can be buggy/problemous, should I even bother upgrading? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
