green day throughout their existance have shown through their music the influence upon them of the pogues, the clash, the sex pistols, stiff little fingers, and bad religion. all of them are punk why arn't green day.

The Clash, I was lucky enough to see them live in the late 70's, absolutely brilliant they were.
