I come from Europe where service is already included in the price you pay, where servers get a full pay for their job and where a tip is given only for a service that was exceptionnaly good. So, I have very few insights on how much I should tip and in what circumstances. I know the rule for the drinks in the bars: 1 drink = 1 $ tip. I know the rule in the restaurants: tip = 2 x the tax. But I'm not sure if this applies to every kind of restaurant. For instance, do you tip in the diners? And if no, how can I indentify a restaurant in which tip is required before the waiter yells at me out of rage...

I know a couple who have a five week old baby. This poor little thing pants like a dog and can't seem to calm down. He shakes every once in awhile and his parents feed him four bottles in an hour (COLD BOTTLES!!) and aren't adequetly keeping him warm. The baby is fussy and might be cholic but the parents just stick a bottle in his mouth and think that will solve it. Is there any serious health problems that can occur to this baby? I know I need to say something to them but they are very independent and stubborn, selfish people. How can I make them realize that their baby is suffering?

I don't want to be homosexual anymore. In life, I do not have or seek a partner, but I have dreams with other ppl involved. The others (gays) are always in trouble, not me. Why is that? Is it the influence of my thinking that makes the dream this way?

I have a 2002 GMC Envoy and wondered if adding these to my doors and around the engine would actually (i.e. siginificantly) reduce noise from outside the vehicle.

Thanks

Today Mr. Gorgeous Fluffpot had to have an ultrascan to check for a kidney stone, and he had to drink two litres of water and hold it in for an hour without piddling. Now this was difficult and he was jumping up and down on one foot while he was waiting for the scan and was busting for a wee! He had the scan, and then rushed out of to the nearest loo when I heard him sigh with relief as what sounded like Niagara Falls gushed into the bowl...
I do have a question and am getting around to it! How much liquid can the human bladder actually hold, and how for long? And what is the longest that YOU have held in your widdle?
And how do you think I should reward Mr. Gorgeous Fluffpot for his very traumatic experience today?

Does anyone have a (sensible) suggestion what whould help "Jumping leg syndrome" to be eased? As it keeps me awake most nights a helpful answer would be appreciated.
(JLS occurres when you are going to /are asleep and your legs jump violently enough to wake you.)
I have tried the GP who just offers sympathy and says it is a side effect of arthritis.

Before my husband and I got married he had a roommate who is also his cousin. When we got married we also bought a house. The roommate couldn't find someplace else to live with such short notice (we were engaged for 1 1/2 years). So we decided to let him live here while he continued to look for a place to live. It's been 8 months and he's still 'looking' (he does actually go to see places) he annoys the heck outta me, since he's constantly around, doesn't clean up after himself and often decideds to follow my husband and I on our dates...(we let him know we're going out to a movie that night, he decided to go too...in his own vehicle, then needs to see the same movie when we get there). Before we were married my hubby lived with this guy for 4 years....and doesn't really see the problem because he is often away because of work. I'm sick of this guy, I married my husband, not this other guy. I shouldn't have to clean up after his filthy lifestyle, he's not my husband or my child

Is it some sort of mothering instinct???

They should date/marry/whatever a man for the way he is, not for what they can change!!!

AND then to add insult to injury, they complain - "You're not the man I first met!!!" Of course not, you NEEDED to mess... Then they find someone else and do the same all over again!!!

Why does catholic doctrine differenciate between these two. Please don't give me answers that are not in harmony with scripture. If you quote 1John 5:16 I believe the sin unto death is the unforgivable sin Jesus spoke of in Matthew 12:31. I don't wish to cause arguements just to make us think about what and why we believe in something.
