House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being blasted in the media for proposing to lower government spending. No details have been discussed, but the intention is clearly to lower pork barrel spending. Why are so many on the right objecting to this?

I got the magic bullet for christmas and I was just about to use it to make muffins for breakfast for my daycare kids (5 of them... waiting... patiently) but it seems as though I've left my magic bullet cookbook at my boyfriends mom's house, which is an hour away and she's at work now. Was just wondering how much a chimney sweep would cost in the south east of england. I've just moved house and we;ve got a lovely (windy) chimney which we'd love to use but have no idea if its safe or if it'd need sweeping or anything lol. I have 2 Guinea pigs, Chi Chi my girl.. and Cupid my boy ( I love my babies.. lol ). Anyways, these little boogers STINK!!.. i mean their bedding just gets so rank and soiled that it makes the whole room smell bad. Its really embarassing because i like to have company, but i dont want them coming in my room and smelling the guinea pigs cages all the time. A lot of the times i try to open the windows up to let the room air out..it might work for a little bit but when i close it the room lights up again. My dad bought me an air purifier but that doesnt even work. I use Carefresh Pine and cedar oil free bedding (the Grey fluffy kind ). I have to change their cages very frequently and im a college student with full time classes trying to work. I love my babies and giving them away is not an option. i REALLY need some tips and suggestions. Would putting Cat litter underneath help? anything? lol someone PLEASE help!!

I'm going to my friend's wedding in April, and never have been to Indiana. Planning on staying at a hotel in Indianapolis and driving to Marion for the wedding. What is the estimated driving distance from Indianapolis to Marion? Also, if you have any suggestions on other cities to stay in other than Marion that have a decent driving time, 30 mins or less would be very helpful to me!

Here's the the scenario.
Terrorist hijack a ship bound for NYC, they have with them a nuclear device. Within minutes of entering NYC harbor and before anyone discovers what has happened, they detonate the device.
Casulities are great, say 2 million dead from the intial blast, 3-5 million die in the following 30 days from radioactive fall-out.

Being that the NYC area is home to a very high percentage of liberals, the vast majority of the people that perish are liberals. Add to this that many New York Staters are swayed by the events to vote more conservatively.

Under this scenario, does New York State become a Red state?

I love everthing japanese, from the ancient traditions right through to the latest technology cming out of the country today. Ive always wanted to go to Japan but havent had the chance yet, but when i do go there (as soon as ive scraped the money together and am old enough) id like to be able to communication with the wonderful japanese. Romaji would be fine, i dont need to know how to wirte it, just to speak and communicate. Can anyone help me?
