Was just wondering how much a chimney sweep would cost in the south east of england. I've just moved house and we;ve got a lovely (windy) chimney which we'd love to use but have no idea if its safe or if it'd need sweeping or anything lol. Any help would be great, especially to help us avoid cowboy's (fakes)

I live in Bedfordshire and have the chimney swept once a year, at a cost of about £25:00. The sweep is really excellent and cleans and vacuums up at the end of the job. If you get a good sweep, hang on to him!

There is a good chimney sweep in the Witham and Coggeshall areas in Essex, not far from Colchester. I used both and both were very tidy and cheap, aparently the chimney sweeps have to issue a certificate now to say that ur chimney or flue is fine, hence they charge extra, but not that bad.

Not having a chimney myself, I can't offer any personal recommendations, but this link shows a list of sweeps in the SE of England:

I use an excellent chimney sweep- Charges approx £25 for two chimneys(fire places)- he's very clean- i'm in south east england - rather not say exact town if that's ok.

Tried to reply to your email with info- but can not message you back or email you back as yahoo said your email was not confirmed- don't know what to do about that.

The info is on this link

would need to ring for a quote to clarify pricing- may have gone up- but very reliable and should go to your area i think.
