Depending who you are looking for. First try the phone books online, white pages. If not and you know a former address of the person or the city the person used to live, try the register center at any townhall of the known city or town. for a small fee, they help you.

Ask me, if they are in the phone book, I'll help. Also can do Internet searches or other public records. Or use www.dasoertliche.de (if you know where they live), or make an official inquiry at an Einwohnermeldeamt (if you know where they live). Good luck!
