I am a first-time horse buyer and would like to know what to look for and how much to pay for a horse. I have some experience in caring for horses, as I boarded one, but I have never ridden one! I read books & watched owners ride their horses, but never took any lessons. I have my eye on a 15hh paint gelding (quarter horse). he is 3 years old, and has had training for trail and has went through a desensitizing program. so he is very well behaved (gentle) and broke. he is listed for $2000. he is up to date on coggins,worming,shots, and farrier. is that a reasonable price, or should i try to work it down? the owner is going to do payments with me so what would a reasonable down payment and monthly payment be? I am going to be riding him at a walking pace, I am not into barrel racing or anything like that. Anything else I should know ?Thanks!I might do private lessons with this horse if i buy him, so I can learn to properly saddle and ride him!

the power cord has the large block which converts the regular AC 110V to 19V DC but just before the DC jack at the end of the PA is a round, molded plastic ...Thing. does it house a fuse? is it just for holding when disconnecting from the laptop?

Ok I just received a phone call from my mom a few minitues ago. She told me to wake up and that my sister is about to get dropped of by my aunt. (she spent the night there last night.) By the tone of my mom's voice i could tell something as not good. She started talking about how my sister and our couzin stripped down last night and kissed on the lips. (they are both only 7.) My sister called my mom this morning and told her she wanted to come home. This is not the norm for my sister to do this so she was obviously not comfortable. My aunt and uncle do not know about this, beccause my couzin hasn't told them anything, the only reason my mom knows is because my sister called and tod her thats why she wants to come home.I dont know what to do! How do i bring it up when she gets here?

I want to get videos from my TiVo onto DVD and i'd like to put them onto my laptop which has a DVD burner. I already have video editing software (Pinnacle Studio, which is great), but just need a way to get the video onto my computer. I know Pinnacle makes some devices that do this, but want to make sure there isn't anything better out there.

How do I find the woman of my dreams? I am a very loving compassionate individual. I was in a relationship with a very attractive woman that had my full attention but, because of the importance of keeping my children well grounded with their Mom and me... Remaining ammlicable, speaking to each other with kindness, and showing my 4 and 2yr old boys... just because Mom and dad aren't together anymore doesn't mean they need to pick a side or be afraid to tell one of what is going on in the other household. I am afraid to meet ladies after this... I feel like I have been emotionally abused by the ex girlfriend's insecurities. She could have had it all with me... now, I am back on the market and not motivated to go to a club and drink six beers and profess my love to the chic at the bar.... Why are women tough to meet for me? I like to dress my best, I keep my house clean, I iron, I cook, I have a great job... my children are very well behaved.... I am lost and sad.

It seems that when a "well off person"uses their persuasion skills to get what they want they are called "smart" and "repected".(example: asks for money and receives 20,000 dollars towards the charity they want to support)
It also seems that when a "poor" person uses their same persuasion skills they are considered to be "using someone" or "trying to get something for nothing".(example: asks for a ride somewhere or for a little help with an important bill that needs to be paid)
Why is this do you think?
