I need to know of some exercises that burn a lot of calories in 30 minutes or so, but don't build up too much muscle. Does jump-roping build up a lot? Or roller blading? I've heard that these two burn a lot...

Ok so there is this dance and I asked this guy but he said no to me and I was wondering what should I do to make this guy wish that he had said yes to me... The reason I am so bitter is because I have a really big crush on him and I asked him out on IM and he said no and I was really hurt and I want him to realize that the school non clothing dresser is not the girl that he should have gone with... Should I become that person at the dance... What should I do I am in very big need of an answer by Jan 6th (The day I get the dress).

I had an art teacher years ago, in high school who claimed a woman was acutally Pope briefly, and the clergy fired her after they found out she was in fact a woman. Is this true? Did this happen or was she talking out of her butt again?
This is a serious question, and I'm not trying to offend anyone. I want to know. I'm not Catholic, and I can't find this information anywhere.

my husband swears that cold air (i'm talking like 60 degrees F) can cause you to catch a cold, or if you have a cold will cause the cold to last longer....
i believe that cold air can't make you sick, only germs/viruses do that

who is right??

There is this 12 year old girl with the soul of a 21 yr. old in my neighborhood that likes to hang out with the older crowd. For the last four months she has been hanging on my block around me and friends. She has formed an attachment to me and likes to talk to me and hang out with me. I don't mind becuase she is real cool and down to earth for her age.I don't want to be mean or rude so I allow her to call and talk with me. Oneday last week she asked me to take her to the store and I did. When I dropped her off near her house, her granddad was leaving out and saw her with me. She got in trouble for being in the car with me and they took her cell phone and seen that she has been talking to me regularly. They assumed that something was going on between us but she told them we were just friends. They told her not to have any further contact with me but she has been still calling me. I keep telling her not to call me anymore. I don't wanna hurt her feelings b/c she is like my older friends

Okay, I just got engaged but I am so lost. I don’t even know where to start as far as planning goes. My mother does not believe in marriage so she is the most sportive and helping person. I don’t have many friends so I don’t have any help. I thought when you got engaged everyone is supposed to be fighting over helping me plan but no one is helping me! I don’t know what to do or where to start. I am so sad and mad at the same time. I have cried more because of this and not because of the actual engagement. Could anyone let me in on where to start and if there are any books you would recommend? I have searched the Internet but it keeps leading me to dead ends.
