Thats a hard one,because you don't want to hurt his feelings but,you don't have to do anything you don't want to do...so just tell him,"thanks,but I'm not dating at the moment". Hopfully he'll understand!

Just be honest and say you are not interested in that way and just want to be friends. And if he does not want that then you cant be forced to be with him.
