There is this 12 year old girl with the soul of a 21 yr. old in my neighborhood that likes to hang out with the older crowd. For the last four months she has been hanging on my block around me and friends. She has formed an attachment to me and likes to talk to me and hang out with me. I don't mind becuase she is real cool and down to earth for her age.I don't want to be mean or rude so I allow her to call and talk with me. Oneday last week she asked me to take her to the store and I did. When I dropped her off near her house, her granddad was leaving out and saw her with me. She got in trouble for being in the car with me and they took her cell phone and seen that she has been talking to me regularly. They assumed that something was going on between us but she told them we were just friends. They told her not to have any further contact with me but she has been still calling me. I keep telling her not to call me anymore. I don't wanna hurt her feelings b/c she is like my older friends

I would like to remain friends with her but I don't want her to get in trouble for continuing to call me and I don't want her parents trying to have me arrested. Should I end our friendship or continue to talk to her anyway.

There come moments in ones life whwn one has to accept short term pain for long term gain and from what ive understood about your predicament i think both of you need to understand that! She is 12-yrs old for crying out loud, are you gonna risk your reputation as well as being beaten up for every kid who likes you,its not her fault its just her age,its happened now and its gonna happen again to her and to all others in that age group, its called "GROWING UP!". I dont know how old you are but dude you also need to grow up,sooner rather than later!

If i was you I'd just say" look I'm really sorry I dont wna hurt your feelings but I cant hang wit you anymore, your a good freind, but I dont wana cause trouble" Then when ever she calls or somes to your hosue dont answer the phone or door, and when you see her smile and turn around.

STAY AWAY...this can only lead to trouble....do you want to be known as the guy who likes little girls?...how old are you any way? She 12, 12yr olds have lots of hurt feelings, word to the wise or in your case not very wise she'll get over it or you'll go to jail. Your choice.

The way i see it, if you think that you 2 are really good friends, then you should continue to see her. B/c friends could last forever. But if you think she is no help to you in life, then time to find a friend who can.
