Can I use a volt meter to determine the strength of my car battery? I think the battery is going dead, and want to figure out if it needs to be replaced. What should I look for on teh meter?

He won't take a pacifier. The pedi recommended Domeboro, which I tried but can't get him to soak for more than a minute. He won't keep any kind of wrap on his fingers. I use Aquaphor several times a day also. This all helps, but still isn't really fixing it.

I bought my first house this April. I live in NJ. I got my mortgage tax statement yesterday, and I've paid close to $9000 in interest. My closing costs were around $6000. I've heard you are supposed to get a sum close to the amount you paid for your closing costs back come tax time. What kind of refund can I expect, not factoring in job, 401K, etc?

This guy I really really like told me he recently told me that he likes me too. Last year we wrote back and forth, but I had to quit because of some personal stuff. I still liked him, I just couldn't write; he didn't know that and got really upset. Within one month he had another girlfriend. She dropped him cold in a very viscous way. This year he finally found out the real reason I had to quit writing and everything worked out. Now we both like eachother and he's really sweet to me. We're writing again. Last night to play a kind of joke my best friend called him and I was listening but he didn't know it...ya, uh-oh. She asked him if he liked this other girl who is a very good friend of mine. He hesitated and said that he did. He said she was funny and fun to be around, but that they were just friends. She asked if he still liked me and he immediately said yes, but...How can he like us both? He's sensitive so I don't want to confront him. I don't want a repeat of last year. What to do?

I went to give my employer 4 weeks notice (this is what my contract states I MUST do on leaving employment) and my boss told me to clear my desk and go, I was basically kicked out of the building with my boss timing me! I have worked there for two years and have always had a really great working relationship with everyone there so you can bet I was a bit surprised. My new job was lined up to start after the 4 weeks I gave my present employer but they now say they will pay me till the end of the week and thats it (one weeks notice) I'm furious that I have done everything by the book and am worse off for it. People who have left before have just not turned up after payday and I can see why now! I feel like a criminal, like I have done something wrong and been sacked and all I have done is decided to move on and try something else. Basically I am left in a big hole now right before Christmas and I have a young family to provide for, can this be legal?! Really appreciate any help xxxxxxxxx

i am taking my boi friend with me to my root canal i talked to my dentist about my dental fears and he said it would be a good idea to bring someone with me so he is allowed to come back and sit beside me and hold my hand and stuff but i am afaird ill act all stupid because i will be sedated .. do you think its a good idea to have him there with me?.... btw he is very supportive and comforting

The mess in Iraq has more to do with leftist idealogy than anything else. Its the left that screetchs the religious doctrine of "duty to rebuild" upon us, as if we were God himself.

After the Afgan v. Soviet conflict, it was the left that cast blame on America for the poverty of the Islamic country after the end of the conflict. Why? Because we didnt rebuild it all!

Sure, theres more to it, in Iraq there is a concern of "power vaccum" but I would simply respond with the reality check about Islamic culture in general. Are supposed "best allies", the Saudis, are the life blood of the Jihadist movement. Turkey? What have they done for America? Their people hate our guts, they have plenty of terrorist infrastucture, and their culture is just as intolerant of non-muslims as any other Islamic country.

Why not be rid of this whole idea of good Islamists vs bad ones, and simply face the fact that Islam itself is the problem. No need to help any Muslims once we understand this...
