I don't take dance classes. Only when I was 6 or 7 I did ballet. I have played tennis for about 5 years.

Actually, yes it is, depending on what you mean by "normal."

If by normal you mean, "Can most people do this?" then the answer is no, most people cannot. Though I would not be surprised to find that most people would like to be able to. Flexibility is a gift. Sometimes it is a gift that has to be earned, but it is a very comfortable and sometimes very useful gift, because it can keep us from injuries when we are physically stressed, as during a fall. You are far less likely to be injured in certain falls than are those not as flexible as you are.

Your flexibility is a function of your tendons and ligaments primarily, and secondarily of the shape of your bones and joints. You happen to be blessed with very flexible ones in your back.

If, on the other hand, you mean by "normal," , "Is this a good thing for a human to be able to do?" then the answer is "Definitely yes." And as long as you can keep doing it without straining or hurting anything--do be careful with your back because it is the only one you have, It's a very important part of your body, and once it's hurt it can stay hurt for the rest of your life--then enjoy it.

Many people, having greater flexibility than others, sometimes become complacent about it and take it for granted, thinking that it makes them more invulnerable than they rally are. That's why, among runners, the greates injuries are sustained by those with the least flexibility and those with the most. The least-flexible among us get into trouble when we fall or trip. Those with the greatest do so because we don't pay attention and are not careful.

So be careful, and enjoy your flexibility.

It just means you are flexible....normal is a term of relevance...compared to me...one of us would not be normal as I cannot do that...

I would consider it normal because I can do it too. I also stretch often.
